Project
In July 2004 an application for a new school was submitted and passed. The school would be for pupils aged between 11-16 with a substantial number of placements for pupils with various learning difficulties.
Roof Specification
Stucco Embossed Kalzip 65/400 profile standing seam sheet, supported with L150 ST clips, Kalflex clear reinforce VCL and Kaldeck decking sheet.
Observations
Various buildings were required to have roofs curved on elevation and plan, the shape of the roofs and complexity of details meant that achieving fully weathered details would be practically impossible using sealants and mechanical fixings. In addition a variety of roof lights and dormer windows were required to be installed.
The Welded Solutions
Sureweld were contracted to carry out the design and installation of various bespoke weathering solutions to dormer details as well as welded soakers to rooflights and raking secret gutters.
